We are currently accepting short story submissions for the fifth edition of the short fiction anthology, blÆkk.
blÆkk is a hand-bound quarterly publication that strives to deliver quality writing accompanied by beautiful illustrations. Each edition of blÆkk is compiled around a general theme, the fifth of which will be BEGINNNGS.

In addition to your piece, please add a short brief of who you are, approximately 100 words.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Short fiction of any genre.
There are no limitations as to how you interpret the theme BEGINNINGS. We aim to publish stories with great variety.
Please note that we are currently not accepting poetry or essays.

We will let you know when we have received your submission, and you will know whether you have been successful within three weeks after the deadline. If you haven’t heard anything from us, please consider your piece unsuccessful.
We reserve the right to the work for six months after the issue is out. After six months the work can be published elsewhere with a note saying it already has been published with us.
Resubmissions are considered if the writer owns the right to the work.
Pieces must be between 1000 and 2500 words of length.
At Blyant we believe that all creatives should get paid for their work, so even though we are a new establishment we do offer a symbolic sum of
£10 per 1000-word story
£15 per 1500- word story
£20 per 2000-word story
£25 per 2500-word story.
In addition, we offer a discount to contributors on all publications from Blyant Publishing as well as other items for sale.
